Hello I'm Mike Miklulich from Superior WI where I live with my wife and three children. Superior is a wonderful place to be a photographer with its many hidden treasures and easy access to the North and South shores of Lake Superior. I find it hard to leave home without a camera.

My interest in photography stems from being an avid outdoorsman. Whenever I would come across a beautiful spot or witness wildlife going about their everyday routine I would always wish that my family and friends were there to share in the experience.

The camera lets me bring everyone into such places. Many times it will be very common places, only captured in different light or weather conditions that most people have not seen. Twin Falls in Port Wing, WI., is one of these fairly common places. When I got there it was a fall evening and the water was barely trickling over the rocks. Even with such little water flow I composed the picture. This photo would win the Grand Prize in the Lake Superior Magazine that year. The following year, I had an honorable mention of another very common place ... Gooseberry Falls State Park (also in Lake Superior Magazine).
